Issues

SAFETY

We will launch a community-based public safety plan, including neighborhood ambassadors, coordination with first responders, and increased trust among police and residents.

HOUSING

We will finally build enough affordable, mixed-income, and workforce housing for the missing middle, with options for first-time home ownership opportunities.

HOMELESSNESS

We will get our unhoused residents out of tents and RVs, and into supportive housing with wraparound services.

PUBLIC HEALTH

We will address  the fentanyl epidemic by providing on-demand treatment services, reducing fatal overdoses, and holding accountable those responsible for distribution and sales.

SMALL BUSINESS

We will reduce the city’s bureaucratic red tape, increase grant funding to local business owners, and address pressing needs like cleaning our streets and filling vacant storefronts.

SENIORS, FAMILIES & CHILDREN

We will launch a multilingual senior escort program, and increase access to free childcare for working parents.

EDUCATION & EMPLOYMENT

We will fill vacant city jobs with local job-seekers by providing them the education and training they need, and we’ll build employment pathways for people with prior offenses who have successfully completed rehabilitation programs.

CLIMATE ACTION

We will invest in green projects that both address climate change and provide critical community infrastructure, including sensible transit, urban farms, and replenished parks.

CULTURE

We will champion programs that make the city more welcoming to artists, and increase support for community celebrations in every District 9 neighborhood.
